What calm technology looks like in a classroom
Clear cues, predictable feedback, and purposeful motion help technology support the room.
When a learning experience assumes one pace, one response, or one way to participate, some learners have to work around the design before they can engage with the idea.
Begin with more than one doorway
Purposeful technology can offer clear prompts while making room for movement, observation, choice, communication, and collaboration. The educator remains essential: noticing the room, shaping the invitation, and connecting the experience to a wider learning context.
Inclusive design is not a promise that every experience will work for every person. It is an ongoing practice of listening, reducing avoidable barriers, and creating meaningful options from the beginning.
